This policy explains what information Xora Scrap ("we", "us") collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as applicable.

1. Who we are and what we do

Xora Scrap is a lead generation and inquiry support platform. We help people who want to scrap a vehicle, or who want a Certificate of Deposit (COD) for a new vehicle, send an inquiry and get connected with our partner Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs) registered or authorised as required in Rajasthan.

We do not scrap or dismantle vehicles ourselves, we do not issue CODs, and we do not sell vehicles or CODs. Those activities are carried out by the relevant RVSF or other authorised entity.

2. Information we collect

When you fill in a form on this website, we collect:

Contact details: your name, mobile number and, for scrap inquiries, your WhatsApp number.
Location: your state and city or district.
Vehicle details: whether the vehicle is running, and any other vehicle information you share with us later.
Documents: photos or PDFs of the front and back of your vehicle's Registration Certificate (RC), if you upload them.
Request details: which form and button you used, the page you were on, and the date and time of your request.

Our servers also record basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the website secure and to prevent spam and misuse.

To stop you losing your answers if your phone reloads the page (for example while the camera is open), the form keeps a temporary copy of what you typed, and of your RC photos, inside your own browser. This copy is not sent to us until you press submit, and it is deleted after a successful submission or within one hour.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.

3. How we use your information

To respond to your inquiry and understand what you need.
To pass your inquiry to a suitable partner RVSF or authorised service provider so they can respond, give you a quotation, and carry out the service you ask for.
To contact you about your request by phone call, SMS or WhatsApp.
To keep records of inquiries, follow up on them, and improve our service.
To prevent fraud and misuse, and to meet legal requirements.

We use your information only for these purposes. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who we share your information with

To handle your request, we share the relevant information with:

Partner RVSFs and other authorised entities that respond to your inquiry and may inspect, accept or scrap your vehicle, or issue or transfer a COD. They use your information under their own responsibilities and applicable law.
Service providers that host this website and store form submissions for us (for example, cloud hosting and Google Workspace services). They process information only to provide their service to us.
Government authorities or others where required by law, or to protect our legal rights.

We share only what is needed for the purpose.

5. Your consent and how we contact you

By submitting a form, you agree that we and our partner RVSFs may contact you by phone call, SMS or WhatsApp about your request, and that your details may be shared with partner RVSFs for this purpose. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us (see section 10). After that, we will stop contacting you, although information already shared to handle your request may still be held by the partner as required by law.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep your information only for as long as needed to handle your inquiry, follow up on it, resolve any disputes, and meet legal or record-keeping requirements. After that we delete it or make it anonymous.

7. How we protect your information

Information is sent from your browser to our server over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
Uploaded RC files are checked for type and size, and stored in a private storage folder that is not publicly shared.
Access to inquiry records is limited to people who need it to handle your request.

No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:

tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
correct or update information that is wrong or incomplete;
delete your information when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for;
stop contacting you.

To make a request, contact us using the details in section 10. We may need to confirm your identity first.

9. Children

This website is meant for adults. Please do not submit an inquiry if you are under 18.
